WOW. these shoes are wild. i wanted to write a post about these sneakers because they are such a concept. so the style of the shoe is the Nike Air Max 97 but what's inside the sole of the shoe is what's whack. it's claimed that the sole of these shoes contain blessed holy water from the Jordan River. the whole concept of this shoe is "walking on water" so Matthew 14:25 appears on the side of the shoe, this bible verse is, "And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea." this shoe also features a cross with Jesus on the front laces. the retail price for them is $1,425 (like the verse 14:25) but they sold out so fast that people are selling them now for thousands. i think these shoes are so cool but i'm not quite sure if they are sacrilegious or not. it seems like a cool way to modernize the Christian Faith and incorporate younger generations to have pride in their faith. i also can see this being taken the wrong way and people becoming disrespectful because the shoes are religious affiliated. as far as who's idea this was, the creative arts company MSCHF is behind the revamp of the shoe. if you want to look more into the shoes themselves click the link below!!
